Say Hello to Freedom
Roots Therapy Solutions is not your typical therapy business. We are pioneering a new way of providing therapy services. We invite you to join us in this journey, where we put you back in the driver’s seat of your own or your child’s therapy plan. Let us give you freedom from the current system and help you find success that is specific to you.
Our story
Our team met during graduate school and parted ways in developing ourselves as practitioners. Through divine intervention, we found ourselves reconnected after years of practice. In that reunion, we discovered a need within our field; the need to make therapy services a ministry, serving deeply within the community and in more natural contexts. Our passion for making therapy accessible, highly individualized and meaningful is where Roots Therapy Solutions began. As we started expanding this dream, we noticed a significant need in the pediatric population to bring kids back into outdoor play for developing skills. This was the seed that bloomed into the idea of enriching our pediatric community with opportunities to learn and grow in the natural spaces all around them. The need to engage in meaningful occupations in every day contexts crosses the lifespan and opened a passion to serve adults in their communities and natural contexts as well; thereby reducing the need to generalize clinic taught skills and providing services that are highly effective.
Our Values
Our ultimate goal is to serve you where you need to be served. We seek to empower individuals and sow the seeds for a promising and resilient future for each and every client.
Our desire is far greater than developing skills or rehabilitation. Our hope and prayer is that every conversation, every goal and every service will be an intersection point of change in your life where you can establish roots to flourish as an individual, child or caregiver.
We value being focused on the family, providing high quality service that is paired with time and compassion, needed to truly make a difference. We value integrity, trust, dedication, and collaboration in this journey together. Our values are based on faith and we pray each of our encounters will be Christ Centered.

Our approach
Our approach is not simply to provide a service, but to offer a solution to the current challenges of accessing therapy. Children require access to activities that anchor them in the natural world around them. Parents need access to services that support their children at home and in the community, not only in schools or clinical settings. Parents also need the training and tools to truly feel empowered to support their children day in and day out, not just during clinical treatment sessions. Adults need access to tailored therapy services, with connections to their community and meaningful occupations to help them achieve their goals. Our goal is to eliminate the need for generalizing the skill and instead target it precisely where it’s needed. Furthermore we seek to provide affordable services that provide flexible scheduling for the client, while eliminating the restrictions and barriers put in place in traditional insurance service models.

Service provided where you need it, when you need it.
Why choose us

- 36 years combined experience with adult and pediatric occupational therapy practice including evaluation, treatment, and therapeutic process implementation.
- Experience with patient care practice and the understanding of the legal and professional requirements and processes.
- Understanding the need to improve accessibility and convenience by bringing therapy services directly to clients to help eliminate barriers such as distance, transportation issues, or mobility limitations. This flexibility ensures that therapy services are noticed and timely, leading to better adherence to treatment plans and, consequently, better outcomes.
- Provide personalized, contextual therapy that will enable our therapists to provide personalized care in the client’s natural environment. This approach is particularly beneficial for occupational therapy, where understanding the client’s daily routines and living conditions can significantly impact therapy outcomes. Our therapists can develop a more effective, individualized treatment plan by working in the client’s setting.
- Increase engagement and client motivation by providing therapy services in a familiar, comfortable environment that clients are often more relaxed and engaged. This increased engagement can enhance the therapy’s effectiveness and motivate the individual to participate in the therapy process actively.
- Encouraging family and caregiver involvement in the therapy process to observe sessions, learn techniques to assist in the individual’s recovery or maintenance, and communicate more effectively with the therapist about the client’s progress.
- Understanding cost and time efficiency to assist with cost savings for the client. In certain circumstances, clients save on transportation costs and time by eliminating the need for travel and can be offered lower therapy service costs. Additionally, our therapists will have more flexible schedules, at times reducing the need for clients to take time off work or other commitments.
- By prioritizing evidence-based practices, we consistently strive to deliver optimal results for our clients.
- Our priority is for you to feel a sense of community from the moment you contact us and throughout your experiences within our method of service delivery

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Occupational Therapy?
If you have found your way to our site, you may be looking for answers about how to improve every day life activities, for yourself or your child. Those activities you or your child do every day are occupations. Occupational therapy is a service designed to use these meaningful activities, which change across the lifespan, to help children and adults meet goals in improving independence and every day life function. We want to use what matters most to you to help you achieve the greatest outcomes.
Do you take insurance? Do you accept Medicare or Medicaid?
Roots Therapy Solutions is a fee for service provider. We do not bill insurance for our services, with exception of Medicare. We accept cash, credit cards, HSA or FSA cards. Upon request, we can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for out of network reimbursement. Here at Roots Therapy Solutions, we are passionate about using this model to put you as the client/caregiver back in the driver seat of your goals/your child’s goals and outcomes. By providing service for fee, we create a culture of accountability for our practice and are allowed to use treatment programming that meets the needs and goals of each individual client rather than just meeting standards of corporation productivity or insurance company quotas.
What if I need to cancel or change my appointment?
Our cancellation policy requires communication before 24 hours to reschedule. We have a cancellation fee if you do not cancel within 24 hours of your appointment. The details of this are covered within intake forms when starting services.
For Nature Based groups, what do we do if the weather is bad?
You have heard it before, “there is no bad weather, just bad clothes!” Our nature based groups are designed to immerse children in ever changing, outdoor experience. However, in the instance weather is bad, we will contact you as soon as possible to adjust group times or locations.
What is the difference between enrichment groups and therapy services?
Therapy services are highly individualized and provide 1:1 services that are developed after an in-depth evaluation to target meaningful goals and outcomes. Therapy services require a doctor’s prescription for services. Enrichment groups are designed for children within the community, not just those requiring intensive therapy services. Our enrichment groups do not require a doctor script to participate, but there are guidelines you will find in the sign up forms for participation. If you have interest in participating in both, this is an option we can discuss with you further.
